Hi Paul & Lesley,
I read and watched with interest the lauching of “Suliere” and the begining of your journey.
My wife and I cureently run a charter boat in NZ which we have on tghe market so that we can follow our dream of cruising for the next number of years. We have found a second hand St Francis 50 for sale approximately 4 years old and are trying to determine what a fair value for her would be. It seems she is similarly equiped to your vessel. Any help you could give us would be much appreciated. We plan to cruise the Pacific for the first few years so who knows we may be able to meet up somewhere.
I have been reading your blog because me and my wife are on the process of acquiring a St Francis which will be build shortly.
Congratulations with your plans to circumnavigate. However I do not see any further posts. Where are you now?
If you have the time, could you give me some tips. Since Duncan is building, we have the chance to customise right from the start and if you could tell us what you would do different on the boat this would be of grat help.
We do not like the fat that the tender is not attached on davits so we will change that. What was your experience with the sun? Would you think that visors above the scanted windows are necessary?
What are your general impressions of the boat?
I really would like to hear from you.

We will have an experienced sailing advisor plus one other person with us for the long ocean passages so that we can keep a 24 hour watch.
Yes we a re proud of the boat – a lot of thought has gone into her.
